Inhabiting the School (“Habitar a Escola”) integrates in the Cycle of Conferences about projects and works, by the word of its authors, of the research project ESCOLAS: Complexidade e Interpretação.
The session will take place on May 15th (Wednesday), at 3pm, at the Fernando Távora Auditorium – FAUP and will have an introduction by André Santos, research project coordinator, architect and professor of FAUP. The lecture will be given by Ana Isabel Costa e Silva, architect and teacher of FAUP.
This Cycle of Conferences intends to be a space for debate about projects and works, led by their authors, and constitutes the first moment of public presentation of the research project ESCOLAS: Complexidade e Interpretação. This project, based at CEAU, results from the collaboration of two research groups that, under the coordination of André Santos (HPTDeE/AdC), and collaboration of Ana Costa e Silva (AdC), Luís Viegas (DiPDArq/MDT) and Rui Américo Cardoso (DiPDArq/MDT), has as background the architectural transformation of the school buildings intervened under the School Park programme, E.P.E., composed by a universe of 76 schools located “in the north” of the country.
