The design of a piece encompasses two opposing realities: an ideal one and a material one.
Design allows us to turn those opposites into a single unit, giving body to the natural, the relation between Man and the objects, or between the Man who inhabits it and Architecture.
Therefore I think of objects, of furniture, as something that is familiar to us and that we should not kill creatively, but rather give continuity to, adding other perspectives, needs and requirements. They should be “equal” but also different. They should be “normal” but above all special; they should be “new” but steeped in history and tradition. Ultimately, they should be necessary for man to exist.
